USF Looking For Teams

 I received an e-mail from Play Universal Sports Federation (PlayUSF) which I will share with you basically in its entirety with some format and other cleanup edits:

PlayUSF Tournament Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)
- We noticed that the Bluesfest is no longer an ASA tournament, but rather a PlayUSF tournament?
A. We are sanctioned strictly by PlayUSF, culminating in the PlayUSF Midwest Regional on July 27-30 in Elgin/Streamwood, IL. This Regional tournament will be open to teams within the Midwest, ranging from 8-under thru 23-under, both A, B, and All-star/in-town divisions.
- What rules are used during PlayUSF tournaments? Do the rules allow for a DH or Extra hitters?
A. ASA Rules will apply, with modifications for 8u thru 10u. Please contact our National UIC, John Hallissey, at maninblue@hallissey.net for further questions related to rule modifications.
- Also, how does a tournament become sanctioned as USF? Do you allow a dual-sanctioned tournaments such as PlayUSF and ASA ?
A. Please contact the PLAYUSF office at 1-866-375-2987 for sanctioning tournaments. There will be no dual qualifiers allowed with regards to PlayUSF tournaments.
- What is the big advantage to playing PlayUSF Tournaments ?
Regional Qualifiers berths to the PlayUSF Midwest Regional on July 27-30. We will provide food, beverages, and fruits to all players and coaches on Saturday. We provide an competitive and cost-effective alternative to ASA Qualifiers with multiple berths within the Chicagoland area which is a popular venue for numerous Midwest teams to participate.
Play Universal Sports Federation mission is to promote Amateur Softball worldwide through maximum tournament participation and a commitment to excellence and sportsmanship in setting standards and values for members and the community to follow.

All teams must either be a registered PlayUSF member to participate in any of these tournaments.

All travel team age brackets and All-star/in-town age brackets (8u thru 23u) can qualify for the PlayUSF Midwest Regional on July 27-30
All PlayUSF Tournaments and Regional Qualifier winners will receive one automatic berth per age bracket.
To sanction your Tournament as a PlayUSF Qualifier, the fee is $50.00 per age bracket, with a minimum of 4 teams per age bracket.
For sanctioning your tournament with PlayUSF, you will receive one unpaid berth per age bracket.
